Match’em – a free puzzle game for S60 5th Edition by moubail.com

matchemlead

Moubail.com is happy to release Match’em – another widget game for your pleasure. Match’em is based on an old game called SameGame. The game idea stays the same but there has been some modifications to make it more compatible with a touchscreen. Touching the symbols selects them as a group to be removed. Only groups of two or more can be selected. The goal is to remove as many symbols as possible and in as large groups as possible to maximize the score. The game will save the last and the highest score. Have fun!

Supported devices: Nokia 5800, N97, 5530

  • Better zoom image quality — needs a few seconds to load the sharper image
  • Menu — long press in the grid view to bring it up
  • Folder sorting in the grid view — accessible from the menu
  • Send function — accessible from the menu
  • Image rotation and deletion — accessible from the menu
  • Better rendering and image processing speed in general

Nokia reveals the 5530 – a cheap successor for the 5800 Xpress Music

Nokia 5530Nokia revealed the 5530 at a Nokia Connection event in Singapore today. This seems to be the device that was thought to be the rumoured 5900 – a step up from the current 5800. It seems instead we are getting a cheaper model with no 3G. The new device features a re-freshened home screen allowing you to have quick access to up to 20 contacts as well as four shortcuts for applications or websites. Also the Media Bar is still there. The home screen looks like something I’d like to see on the 5800 as well (maybe a new firmware is on the way?).

Other features include:

  • 2,9″ touch screen with tactile feedback
  • S60 5th Edition
  • no physical keys
  • a 3.2-megapixel camera and LED flash
  • Bluetooth, WiFi, and EDGE
  • a music player (obviously)
  • widescreen video playback at 640×360
  • hot-swappable MicroSD slot (4GB included)
  • a standard 3.5mm audio plug

Check out the videos after the break.
