Match’em – a free puzzle game for S60 5th Edition

Moubail.com is happy to release Match’em – another widget game for your pleasure. Match’em is based on an old game called SameGame. The game idea stays the same but there has been some modifications to make it more compatible with a touchscreen.

INSTALLING
Just transfer the game over to your phone by bluetooth or usb cable or as an email attachment. You can also install it by using your phones browser to download the game.
HOW TO PLAY
Click on a symbol that has at least one similar symbol adjacent to it. The first click selects the group and the second removes it. After selecting a group you have four seconds to change your mind and select a different group before the group is automatically removed.
With careful planning you can create bigger groups and achieve a much higher score.
The game will store the last and the highest score.

Hi, I have enjoyed your Match’em game for a few weeks. I just wanted to make you aware of an oddity/bug. When playing the game and removing one column, the columns to the right should step one place to the left. Sometimes when removing the second rightmost column the rightmost column does not move left, it is removed from the game completely! I’m assuming this is not by design? Hopefully you can have it fixed…
I thought it was a bug as well but after playing through different scenarios I’ve come to think of it as a feature
It forces you to plan ahead making the game a bit more challenging. The disappearance of the last column is predictable so you need to make careful choices and making the best of the last column before emptying other columns. And looking at the original game code it seems like it’s meant to be this way.

Sure, my highest score so far is 1715.
I found that if you manage to remove all objects in the end you are rewarded an extra 300 points. That really helps out…

Today when I removed the last objects in the rightmost column the whole second rightmost column was (falsly) removed as well! Surely there is some bug in the behaviour of the rightmost and the second rightmost columns…???
