DeviceInfo 2 Widget
DailyDilbert – the online comic reading widget for Nokia N97, 5800 etc.
DeviceInfo widget for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and the N97 is the first widget release by moubail.com. The widget is based on script samples found at Forum Nokia Wiki. The widget is pure HTML/CSS/Javascript and is released as an example to motivate other users to create a widget of their own. What does it do then? The DeviceInfo widget displays more or less essential data about the device it’s running on. It’s a handy way to digg up the phone’s IMEI code, wireless MAC address and the current firmware version. This release is BETA and has been tested only the Nokia 5800. There is an update system built-in meaning you should be able to update it easily to a newer version – should we ever make one. Post your ideas and wishes or get in touch through the Feedback -page. If you have a widget you would like to publish or need some graphics work done on it or anything like that – moubail.com might be able to help.
INSTALLING
You can
- Download the widget straight to your phone and install it when prompted
- Download the widget to your computer and email it to your phone
- Install it by using the Ovi Suite

thank a lot for this widget..
but after i update my 5800 with latest fw which is v40..
the status keep blinking while the number changing..
and i agree with Richard Wood
if you can removed the security warning..it would be nice..
Yeah. The latest firmware versions are messed up
I’ll try to see if there’s a workaround for the blinking. As for the security warning – that can not be helped. It comes from the Nokia’s API whenever something in a widget wants to access the system info/data.

NICE LITTLE WIDGET!
Works great on my Sony Ericsson Satio…
I can install this on the N82. However, it cannot operate normally and nothing was displayed on the screen. I guess it is software incompatibility.
Can you please also add a roaming status to this? i.e. whether the phone is currently registered on the home network or a roaming network?
After installing, when i try to run it, it gives an error that “system Service object cannot be found” and then does not load any data. I tried it on a n97 mini
After install on my Nokia 5800 XM with 40.0.005 firmware i can’t use Installed App.
I tried to delete the folder 10282822\com.moubail.deviceinfo.widget\DeviceInfo\index.html under e:\private but still not work!!! Any solution?
Any chance there could be a version of the widget that is signed so I dont have the security pop-up every time I use it.

Me too.
I left a comment but don’t see it here. In it I said I’d leave a donation after payday and then I realized how dumb it is to say that when using a credit card. So I just donated a couple Euro. Now. looking at the page, I’m afraid I might have donated to the wrong place. i meant this money for the developer and may have paid it to the website instead. Sneaky they put their donate button right next to the developer’s.
