Uninstall an application bought from the Ovi Store – buy again to reinstall?
Sometimes you have to uninstall an application to make room for other stuff or maybe you just want to install the app on a different memory card – whatever the reason – it’s a common procedure. But what happens if you bought the app from Nokia’s Ovi Store? I would be reasonable to think that since you’ve already paid for the app you should be able to install it again by popping in to Ovi Store and hitting ‘Install’ on the applications page. That’s not quite how it worked out for me as I managed to mess up my Gravity installation (a beautiful piece of software btw.).
In the Ovi Store I was greeted by a Buy button – as if I had never bought it. It shows in the My Stuff page allright but still I was supposed to dish out another 10€ for an app that I had just bought a couple of days before. Luckily the makers of Gravity offer great support for their product and they helped me out – I’m back in the Twitter heaven (or hell).
