Fring for Symbian updated (3.37) – no love for Nokia 5800
Fring has just released a new version of their popular IM/VOIP software for mobile phones. Unfortunately there’s no support for the 5th Edition phones yet but they say they are working on it. Quote from the Fring forum:
We’ve just released a new version for Symbian 9 (Nokia) devices.
The version has a few bug fixes and support for future add-ons (sorry, can’t tell you what they are
)
The Nokia 5800 is not yet supported with this version but believe me, we *are* working on it. It’s not just a new device. It’s the first s60 touch screen device and therefore it requires some more attention. Just be patient (I know it’s hard)
The update should be worth installing for older models as it does bring significant improvements. Owners of the Nokia 5800 can instead head on to the Fring forum and beg for support.

EITHER I’M CONFUSED OR JUST OUT THERE, I HAVE BEEN USING A VERSION 4.00.05 FRING ON MY SAMSUNG I8910 FOR A WHILE NOW AND IT HAS BEEN STABLE. THE REASON I AM CONFUSED, THIS VER WAS RELEASED FOR THE NOKIA 5800 EXPRESS!! ALSO IT HAS A VIDEO CALLING FEATURE ONLY IF YOU HAVE A STABLE WI FI OR 3G CONNECTION. I HAVE USED THE VIDEO CALLING A FEW TIMES AND IT WORKS WELL ON MY CELLPHONE.
