Software for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
Good news for the owners of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic – the software selection for this little heartbreaker is increasing.
Fring has stated that they are working on a 5800 compatible version. Once finished it will be available for download at fring.com. Music lovers will be happy to know that Mobbler – the mobile client for Last.fm is already working on the 5800, kinda. It still needs optimizing to support the touchscreen but the work is going on and the next release will support the devices touchscreen fully. Apparently the scrobbling still won’t work but the streaming will – it already does. You can follow the progress at code.google.com/p/mobbler.
Also, the Nokia’s Hong Kong site is displaying some free apps and games for the device. Our quick tests were a bit disappointing, though, as most of the apps were pretty sluggish and simply felt quite unpolished.
